NASA InSPIRESS
InSPIRESS, Innovative System Project for the Increased Recruitment of Emerging STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Students, is a partnership between the school and the University of Alabama at Huntsville and NASA.
Students are given a topic by representatives from UAH, which must be researched and designed. Students then present resolutions to NASA officials and receive practice and application while researching real-life problems and answers related to features in outer space.

2015-2016 Teams
Team A.T.T.A.C.K
Atmospheric Testing on Titan and Conditions of Kraken Mare |
Team M.A.R.E.
Measuring the Atmosphere and Researching the Environment |
This year, Vinemont has two InSPIRESS teams:
M.A.R.E. (Measuring the Atmosphere and Researching the Environment) and A.T.T.A.C.K. (Atmospheric Testing on Titan and Conditions of Kraken Mare).
Our teams presented their payloads to a team of NASA engineers at Marshall Space Flight Center and received the following awards:
Team M.A.R.E received First Place Payload Proposal, First Place Open House Poster Session, and Overall Winner in their Division, while Team A.T.T.A.C.K. received First Place Open House Poster Session, First Place Final Review, and Overall Winner in their Division.
There were four awards in each category. Each of Vinemont's teams brought home three of those awards.
Two students from each team will travel to Washington D.C. next summer to present their payload design to NASA headquarters.
